Submitted. Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Fraser Valley is pleased to announce the beginning of one of their most popular and important annual fundraisers – Bowl for Kids Sake 2012 presented by Prospera Credit Union. On February 8, 2011 from 6:00pm-8:00pm the Chilliwack Chiefs and Scotiabank host a fun bowling event with the children and volunteers that are involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters in Chilliwack.
“Scotiabank is a long time supporter of Big Brothers Big Sisters. We thought it would be fun and friendly to include the Chiefs’ players and home stay families and bowl in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters in Chilliwack,” says John Hayhow, Manager Scotiabank Downtown branch. “We’re excited about an opportunity to involve the Bigs and Littles and for them to mingle with the Chiefs players,” added Hayhow.
“The Chiefs are an active community sports club and Scotiabank has supported Big Brothers Big Sisters for many years. We’re happy for their participation in Bowl for Kids Sake 2012,” stated Daniel Sorensen, Vice Chair who notes that Bowl for Kids Sake raised over $80,000 last year in support of families in the Fraser Valley.
